Several Types of Vacuum Excavation Technique

Any renovation can not begin unless the building site has been cleaned. The technique we are going to talk about is called vacuum excavation.

As a basic technique, excavation is particularly applicable before starting any construction or renovation process. Most often at the construction site, there are dirty and worthless materials that should be brought out of the site. With the newest innovations in the construction industry, this is an easy job, but requires specialized equipment and also experienced professionals. There are several types that are covered in the excavation technique.

Vacuum excavation is a fairly new technique on the market, using a strong and powerful suction system. The system works with the help of water or air and drains soil and other constituent structures. During an inspection of the location and other construction objects, the unnecessary materials are sucked up with ease. The smooth work of the equipment during the excavation process does not mean that the handling of these machines is easy. Handling should be left in the hands of skilled workers. Their high expertise makes this technique unique because in this case there is no digging, which is non-destructive excavation.

Since there is no digging on the ground, the chances of damaging underground utilities are almost zero. Water, sewage and gas pipes will remain undamaged, and this technique is worth the effort. Futile dirt that is sucked with the system is stored in a specific location and later transported elsewhere.

The vertical excavation approach is used when dirt needs to be removed on a construction site, placed in an urban environment or it is bounded by many industrial and residential buildings. In this case, a vertical approach is used due to limited access to the site. On the contrary, the horizontal excavation approach is used on a construction site where there are no commercial or residential objects nearby. When both, the vertical and horizontal approaches should be used on the construction site, then it is called a hybrid excavation process.

Tip trenching is a technique performed by vacuum excavation professionals when doing renovation tasks. Its utilization finds use in the excavation of large depths. It can be best noticed by digging – the deeper you dig, the harder it is to excavate.

For the renovation to be successful, vacuum excavation should be well planned and performed by professionals.
